we're going to be nationally embarrassed on the hardcourt live from Tucson..
Speaking of hardcourt, our women's team is a complete embarrassment. How do you recruit the #1 class and lose 7 out of 9, five straight, this late in the year? Every game I see the tweets--we start out well. then, it all goes to $&*%. I knew we were in trouble with this hire when she actually had the audacity to say she would employ something better than Nikki Caldwell's defenses, i.e., traps and presses. Really? How has that worked out? Kathy Olivier's equipment managers would have had a better record. I look at softball and I see tremendous strides this year already. Power hitting and pitching is going to propel that team into the WS barring anything catastrophic. But this women's basketball team deserves to be more than the clown car for women's sports here. There is far too much talent on that roster to be at the bottom of the barrel. In all my years writing on this board I have never criticized coaches like this, but honest to goodness, this year's basketball programs are horrendous, especially the women's.
