The door to the TP is slowing closing and the end of HS recruiting is not too far away. This is by far the largest class is bring in with 18 HS recruits and 21 TP players. How strange it is compared with last season’s recruiting class with 9 HS players and a pocketful of TP players. Coach Foster has re-stocked the roster with some very decent players, some that will be starters or will be key backups. UCLA needed to upgrade the OL and they came away with some nice replacements, an upgrade from last year.
The offense was so poor last year but they upgraded their RBs and OL so I expect that we’ll be more competitive this coming season. UCLA needs one more tall WR and a TE but maybe that’s comes after Spring practice. The defensive backfield is much improved from last year but there is a huge void at DL where Toia manned and at LB where Schwesinger and Medrano played. Let’s see where we at after the Spring practice
