Cheaten Pete goes down

I love to watch Cheaten Pete lose. The architect of the "Culture of Corruption" and SUC's former Mob Boss, Cheaten Pete is a corrupt coward and today he is a LOSER to my Los Angeles Rams.

At the end of the game, Cheaten Pete met McVay at mid field for the customary hand shake, but Cheaten Pete did something way more than that; he did something insulting and arrogant. He slapped McVay in the back of the head a couple of times. McVay looked pissed.

Cheaten Pete did the exact same thing to Coach Dorrell after 13-9 in 2006. You youngsters should chech that game out if you get a chance.

Anyways, Cheaten Pete is arrogant prick. May he lose on.

Game notes after UCLA win at SDSU

These were compiled by the UCLA media relations staff:

• UCLA now leads the series with San Diego State, 22-1-1

• UCLA is 14-4 in its last 18 games and 9-2 in its last 11 true road games … it was 3-1 on the road in 2022 and won its last two games against Cal and Arizona State.

• UCLA has won the last six straight non-conference regular season games

• UCLA has won its last eight games in the month of September

• The win against San Diego State is UCLA’s first non-conference road win by the Bruins since 2016 (at BYU 17-14) – the Bruins lost at Memphis in 2017, at Oklahoma in 2018 and to Cincinnati in 2019 and did not play non-conference opponents on the road in the 2020, 2021 or 2022 seasons.

• UCLA has earned a bowl bid in each of the past 12 seasons in which it has started the season 2-0 --- 2022, 2021, 2017, 2015, 2014, 2013, 2012, 2009, 2007, 2006, 2005 and 2002.

• UCLA has won its last 12 games when holding the opponent under 100 yards of rushing offense. San Diego State finished with 63 yards rushing on the night.

• UCLA has now started each of the last three seasons 2-0 … the last time that happened was in the 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 seasons.

• The last time UCLA held each of its first two opponents to 20 points or less in consecutive seasons was in 2006 and 2007. Last season, UCLA defeated Bowling Green 45-17 and Alabama State 45-7. It opened the 2023 season with a 27-13 victory over Coastal Carolina.

• After Carson Steele’s 13-yard scoring run at the start of the second quarter, UCLA has registered at least one rushing TD in 34 of the last 36 games – not Coastal Carolina (2023) or South Alabama (2022). The run was Steele’s first rushing touchdown as a Bruin. He caught a scoring pass in the season-opener.

• UCLA true freshman quarterback Dante Moore made his first collegiate start. Moore is the first Bruin quarterback to make his first career start on the road and lead the team to victory since 2012 when Brett Hundley did so at Rice.

• Dante Moore is the ninth true freshman Bruin quarterback to make a start in a game – joining Dorian Thompson-Robinson (2018, 8 games), Josh Rosen (2015, 13 games), Drew Olson (2002, 5 games), Matt Moore (2002, 1 game), Cade McNown (1995, 9 games), Ryan Fien (1992, 1 game), Tom Ramsey (1979, 2 games), Steve Bukich (1974, 1 game).

• Dante Moore’s third-quarter touchdown pass to Carsen Ryan was his third of the game, which tied the school record for a true freshman quarterback in game. The record is also held by Josh Rosen (vs. Nebraska, Cal and UVA, 2015) and Cade McNown (vs. Kansas, 1995).

• Josiah Norwood scored on an 81-yard pass play in the first quarter. It was his first catch of the season and the longest by the Bruins since a 94-yard connection between quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson and DemetricFelton Jr. at Washington State in 2019.

• The 81-yard pass play completion by Dante Moore to Josiah Norwood is the longest ever by a UCLA true freshman quarterback. The previous long pass play was a 70-yard play at Stanford on a pass by Josh Rosen to Darren Andrews in the 2015 season.

• T.J. Harden’s 59-yard scoring run in the second quarter was the longest by a Bruin since Kazmeir Allen raced 75 yards for a score last season at Arizona State. Harden rushed for 91 yards on the night (his career-high is 111 yards against Pitt in 2022).

• Logan Loya’s 20-yard scoring reception in the second quarter extended his team best receiving games streak – Loya has caught a pass in each of the last 8 games. On the night, Loya caught four passes for 77 yards to set a career-high for receiving yards (old high was 70 yards in 2022 against Utah).

• Alex Johnson’s third quarter interception was the first of his career.

• Darius Muasau’s end zone interception in the third quarter was the third of his Bruin career.

• Longest starting streak in UCLA games – OFFENSE Duke Clemens, OL – 23 games; DEFENSE Darius Muasau, LB and Gabriel Murphy, OLB each have started the last 15 games

• Longest receiving games streak – Logan Loya has caught a pass in each of the last eight games. His scoring reception was the fourth touchdown catch of his career.

• With Alex Johnson’s third quarter interception, UCLA has now forced at least one turnover in 16 of the past 18 games and at least one in each of its last five straight games.

• UCLA’s 21-point second quarter is the most points a Bruinteam has scored in a quarter since it totaled 21 in the second quarter in a 2021 win at USC.

• Next Up: UCLA will host North Carolina Central (2-0, defeated North Carolina A&T today) on Sept. 16 in the Rose Bowl Stadium. The Eagles defeated Jackson State in the Cricket Celebration Bowl last season to win the program’s fourth HBCU national championship. NCCU has been ranked in the FCS Top 25 to start the 2023 season.

Quick thoughts: UCLA vs SDSU

Offense Player of the Game: This hands down is Dante Moore’s 290 yards passing, 3 TDS and 2 INT.
Defensive Player of the Game:Alex Johnson. This kid was a walk-on and he worked his butt off for his scholarship. Great job Alex on your two INTs!
Offensive Play of the Game: The 80 yard TD to Norwood for the first Touchdown of the game.
Defensive Play of the Game: The goal line INT by Mausau. That play at the goal line was exciting to watch.
Quarterback: There is no question that Moore is the starter by Schlee had a great game and I think he outplayed Garbers and deserves to be backup.
Ranking: With our last game I’m predicting the UCLA is ranked 23rd.
Running backs: Loved Atkins game. He is no stiff and deserves more playing time.

Reggie "Cheating" Bush

I have seen billboards and radio stations supporting the return of the Heisman to Reggie Bush.

They are wrong. They debase Honor and the Heisman.

Allow me a brief historical lesson.

In 2001 Deshaun Foster lead the number 2 ranked UCLA imto their sixth week against Stanford. UCLA was a recruiting beast and playing in Rose Bowls.

Deshaun was a Heisman favorite. He then rolled up in cars otherwise known as extra benefits.

UCLA sent Deshaun packing. UCLA's season went to oblivion (they finished 6-6 and declined a bowl) and then the next decade went to oblivion.

Then came Reggie Bush. That cheating fu$ker rolled up in extra benefit cars and Cheating Pete along with USC embraced the cheater.

SUC embraced cheating. UCLA took the road less traveled.

Don't ever forget SUC corruption. They are cheaters and they have no honor.

They are the school of OJ and Bush.

We are Jackie, Kareem, Troy.

They are SUC. They are cheaters.

UCLA, FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT.

LA Times: J Michael is a huge weapon...

perhaps even bigger then Bobo last year. His game against Coastal Carolina is just the start for a huge year for him and the Bruins. Dante Moore and Sturdivant's season will be one for the record books.

STORY: Chip Kelly cites new clock rule for sitting QB Collin Schlee

Included in the story, I looked at last season’s stats and compared the average number of plays to just the 60 the Bruins ran last night:

Pac 12 Undefeated

According to ESPN it is the first time since 1932 that every team won the opener.

Colorado win on the road against TCU was huge. The Coach Sanders interview after the game was one of the best interviews I have seen in sports in a while. Hilarious. So many people doubted him. Love it.

Utah with a very nice win against Florida. Florida looks like it is in the bottom 1/3 of the SEC this yr but a good win considering Utah's QB was out.

UW crushing Boise State felt like things returning to normal after years of the Mountain West embarrassing the Pac 12.

OR scores 81 with the new rule that cuts down the number of plays.

Funny, how this may be the best the conference has been in a long time after many years of under performance. I guess they saved the best for last.

What did you think of last night's game?

I think that the game overall was a little ragged, but it was the first game. The OL and the UCLA defense is a work in progress...but great but encouraging. I think that UCLA has found their QB for the next three years. Carson Steele and Harden both played very well, and I think we'll see even better performances once the OL begins to jell more. I thought both Sturdivant and Kyle Ford lived up to their billins and played very well but we need to get the TEs more involved in the offense. Latu is a beast with 3 sacks last night.

I'm hopeful that Chip Kelly opens up his playbook a bit more against SDSU next week.
