Today things will be a bit different as it is the last practice open to the media this week.

Head coach Chip Kelly will speak around 8:35 a.m., there will be no media viewing period afterward and no player interviews after the practice.

Things get going a little after 9:10 a.m. Two players like usual after practice.

Today is the second-to-last media session of the week. Tomorrow it will only be Chip after practice, media won’t even have a brief viewing period and no players will speak after the practice.

This is based off a poll I decided to randomly start on my Twitter/X account since there have been so many varying opinions.

But I also wanted to pose it to you guys since attendance has been a hot topic for UCLA home games in recent years.

UCLA is in Girona (where the game should be underway) but, per UCLA’s spokesperson, the professional team is treating it as a closed scrimmage in accordance with the club’s ACB league rules and they’ve asked UCLA to not divulge their team’s stats nor the final score.

“We respect their wishes,” the UCLA spokesman said in a message to Bruin Blitz.

For this morning’s read until we do interviews after Tuesday’s practice, I took a deep dive into the QB competition, how it arrived at this point and the many questions that have come up in the aftermath that show this looks more like an open audition with the lights and cameras pointed directly at the three players:

The final practice of camp before game week preparations has arrived.

Chip is scheduled to speak at 9:30 a.m. and there will be no player media availability after practice today.

Made it to game week and UCLA gets its Coastal Carolina preparations underway a little after 10 a.m.

Plan is for likely two players to be made available after. We will get Chip before Monday’s practice.

So, depending on what exactly we see in that 15-20 minute viewing window and who they make available, maybe there will be a definitive answer on QB1.

I’ll also try to find out when the program plans to put out its first game notes of the season, which would have the first official depth chart of the season.
