When I heard that Mora was let go and that UCLA was going hard for Kelly and I thought that, perhaps, his signing was imminent. Now, the rumors are that Florida is the leader and that UCLA had only an outside chance.
I know that he has an excellent offensive mind and his hire would give UCLA instant street cred. But I'm wondering if UCLA isn't overpaying and that the defenses may have figured his offense out? Plus, his NFL career has been less than stellar. I'm wondering if perhaps what UCLA needs is a proven young innovative HC...someone who has proven success but needs an environment like UCLA to bring his success to another level?
